PURPOSE: To reduce the required floor space of a titled device, and to feed a material to the processing position of a press by a single driving source, by installing the driving device of a transferring device in the inside of a machine frame of the press, and arranging it parallelly to a freely reciprocating material-holding part.

CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic cylinder, functioning as the driving device 3 of a transferring device 1, is housed in the frame 6 of a press 5. A rod-shaped sliding member 7 is provided with material-holding parts 9 set on the two spots or so of its body, and vacuum attracting devices such as vacuum cups 11, etc. are provided to the parts 9. The member 7 is raised and moved to eithr of the left or right side by the device 3, and successively, is lowered to hold a material by the cup 11, and then, is raised again and is moved horizontally to carry in the processing position between an upper die 13 and a lower die 15. At the same time, a product or a semi-fabricated product is moved from the processing position to the other side by the cup 11 of the another holding part 9, and is carried out through a two dimensional locus.
