Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform regular size cutting of a long stretching work by a saw cutting machine precisely in conformity to the set dimensions even when the cutting position approaches the tail of the work. SOLUTION: A feed table 10 is equipped with a pair of vices 2 and 3 to clamp a work W, a linear guide 21 to support the movable vice 2, and a fluid pressure cylinder 14 to advance and retreat the movable vice 2 and is furnished with a stopper rod 4 movable in the axial direction along the advancing the retreating directions of the movable vice 2, a lock mechanism to fix the stopper rod 4, and a retreat energizing means 6 to energize the stopper rod 4 always in the direction of retreating. A lock part 4a to be in engagement with the movable vice 2 in advancing is formed at the tip of the stopper rod 4, and when the work grasping margin by the vices 2 and 3 has lessened, the stopper rod 4 is fixed by the lock mechanism, and the tilting displacement owing to the eccentric load of the movable vice 2 at the time of clamping is hindered by engagement with the lock part 4a.
