Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of geometric position relation of each cut face of an unstable workpiece such as round material and position a workpiece easily and rapidly.
CONSTITUTION: A material feed conveyor 15 is provided on the rear side of an angle cutter 1, and a material feeder 17 for feeding a workpiece W on the material feed conveyor 15 is provided on the material feed conveyor 15 in such a way as to advance/retreat freely. The material feeder 17 is provided with a stock vice device 25 for gripping the rear end of the workpiece W, and a sizing device provided with a position detecting member 53 for measuring the whole length of the workpiece W. The conveying centerline X-X of the workpiece W transferred onto the material feed conveyor 15 is made coincide with the turning center S of the saw blade 13 of the angle cutter 1.
