To provide a material guiding device for a cutting machine which can achieve work for guiding the front end of a material 5 delivered from a roll molding machine 2 into a mold 4 in a cutting machine 3 without relying upon manpower and with high workability.

The material guiding device for a cutting machine comprises a guide rail 12 that is provided between a molding machine on its output side and the cutting machine 3 and is graded, a guiding device body 13 that can be advanced and retreated on the guide rail in a material feed direction, and an advance/retreat drive device 14 that drives the guiding device body. The guiding device body 13 comprises a lower unit 17 and an upper unit 19, both of which clamp a material. The lower unit 17 can be placed on the guide rail 12 for advance and retreat in the front and rear in the material feed direction. The guiding device body 13 is advanced from the standby position shown in Fig.1 to a position before the cutting machine. Thereafter, the upper unit 18 is lowered to clamp the material 5 by a holding roller 19 and a receiving roller 16. In this case, the position of the front end height of the material 5 is approximately coincident with a material pass line in the cutting machine 3. In this way, the material 5 is smoothly guided in the mold 4 for the cutting machine.
