To provide a material hold-down device in a multi-blade sawing machine which easily changes a cutting space of each sawing blade, repeatedly uses a pressure plate, and reduces wasteful costs and resources needed for replacements.
This multi-blade sawing machine exerts pressure on a wood material A to be cut moving on a conveyor passage 1 by means of a pressure plate 31 and simultaneously cuts the portions of the material A pressurized by the pressure plate 31 by a plurality of rotating saw blades 13, 15. The position of the axial direction of respective saw blades, 13, 15 is independently free to be adjusted by moving each of them, respectively so that the pressure plate 31 to pressurize the material A to be cut is made to be independently separated and is moved integrally with the corresponding saw blades 13, 15.
