To exhibit superior playing easiness in a state wherein it is hard for dirt to stick and a slide is lessened even in a high-humidity environment.
The material 10 for key includes a base resin 11, and a moisture control material 12, a condensation inhibitor13 and other materials 14 which are fillers. Namely, the material 10 for key may include 81 to 60 wt.% of the base resin 11, 2 to 4 wt.% of the moisture control material 12, 16 to 35 wt.% of the condensation inhibitor 13, and 1 wt.% of the other materials 14. The moisture control material 12 performs chemical sorption of moisture, and can suitably be prepared by crushing Taftic(R) HU720S in the form of high sorption/desorption particulates repetedly varying in volume with moisture-sorption to form particles having the averaged particle size in the range of 3 to 5 m. On the top surface of the HU key molded using the raw material 10 for key, parts where the moisture control material 12 suitably coheres in a sorption state increase in volume by sorption to form many projection portions 21.
