Abstract:

To provide a new cooling material which enables water to be simply and stably supplied to a wall surface etc. of a structure by using a glass-fiber woven fabric wherein a layer provided with a photocatalytic layer is formed on a surface, and which enables the building structure to be efficiently cooled by keeping the amount of the evaporation of the water large for a long period of time, and to provide a method for efficiently cooling a prescribed area of the wall surface, roof surface, etc. of the structure in an energy-saving manner by using the cooling material.

The material for cooling the structure, which has the action of cooling the structure by using latent heat associated with the evaporation of the supplied water, in the prescribed area of the wall surface or roof surface of the structure, is composed of a structure wherein the layer provided with the photocatalytic layer is formed on the surface of the glass-fiber woven fabric. In the cooling method, the cooling material is installed in the prescribed area of the wall surface or roof surface of the structure so that the structure can be cooled by using the latent heat associated with the evaporation of the supplied water.
