PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for an organic electroluminescent element that is capable of being applied without melting a lower layer at the time of formation of an organic compound layer and is capable of realizing efficient electron injection, and to provide an organic electroluminescent element using the material.SOLUTION: A material for an organic electroluminescent element, which is a material used to form an organic electroluminescent element having a structure where a plurality of layers including a luminescent layer are laminated between a cathode and an anode formed on a substrate, contains a polymer having an oxazoline structure.
