The material of a plurality of sheet clothes comprises a spacer structure composed of a plurality of cloth webs 1 and 1' and a spacer yarn 3 which keeps these webs 1 and 1' at a definite distance apart between these cloth sheets, and the spacer yarn 3 is made of monofilaments with ≥0.3 GPa critical compressive strength Ccrit measured by the Elastica method. A method for producing these materials is also provided. The monofilament used as the spacer yarn comprises a copolyester composed of a dicarboxylic acid unit and a diol unit and the dicarboxylic acid unit consists essentially of 2,6- naphthalenedicarboxylic acid unit and the diol unit consists essentially of ethylene glycol unit.
