To provide a material for preventing the leakage of body fluid from a dead body, regulated so that the timing of absorbing the body fluid with a highly water-absorbing polymer dispersed in a jerry substrate may be adjusted freely.
The material 10 for preventing the leakage of the body fluid, and to be packed in the body cavity of the dead body is obtained by dispersing many particles of a highly water-absorbing polymer 12 in the jelly substrate 13 comprising an alcoholic substance as an essential component, and covering the outer periphery of the highly water-absorbing polymer 12 with a film-forming material 11. The material 10 for preventing the leakage of the body fluid can be smoothly injected to the body cavity such as the nasal cavity because of the jelly shape, and can prevent the body fluid from leaking to the exterior from the body cavity because the highly water-absorbing polymer 12 absorbs the body fluid and swells. The absorption rate at which the body fluid is absorbed in the polymer 12 can be arbitrarily set because the polymer 12 is covered with the film-forming material 11 to enable the material for preventing the leakage, corresponding to the use condition to be prepared.
