PURPOSE: To enhance the operation ability of a processing device for controlling the conveyance of materials with the use of voices, by providing such an arrangement that a processing command may be corrected by reinput of a voice if it is before detection of a material to be conveyed by a conveyed material detector.

CONSTITUTION: A voice recognizing section 11 recognizes, when an aural signal (sorting data) is inputted, the voice of this signal to creat a sorting code signal corresponding to this voice, which is set on the voice recognizing section 11. When a conveyed material detector 17 detects a material 15, the above-mentioned sorting code signal is delivered to a gate controller 12 which selectively controls the switching of sorting gates 141, 142, and therefore, the material 15 is accumulated in a designated accumulating section. If the voice input is incorrect, when a correct voice input is effected, successively to the incorrect voice input before detection of the material 15 by the detector 17, a new correct code is set on the voice recognizing section 11, substituted for the incorrect sorting code.
