Abstract:
PURPOSE: To exceedingly improve the life of the electrode by providing the material for the resistance welding electrode having good thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity and excellent high-temp. strength and high-temp. heat resistance.
CONSTITUTION: The outer peripheral part of the bar-shaped electrode of a high-strength conductive copper alloy contg. 4.5 to 20wt.% Fe or further, contg. O2/Fe≤5 oxygen and consisting of the balance Cu and unavoidable impurities is coated with copper or copper alloy to attain 0.4 to 0.7 ratio of the inside diameter/the outside diameter.
