Title:
MATERIAL FOR ROLLED CONCRETE PAVEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2540422
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve durability by replacing a specified amt. of cement with the coal ash generated from a fluidized-bed boiler and incorporating water, coarse aggregate and fine aggregate into the mixture.
CONSTITUTION: Since limestone is used as the desulfurizing agent, the coal ash generated from the fluidized-bed boiler has a composition shown in the table in comparison to the pulverized coal ash from the boiler in the thermal power plant and has high contents of lime and gypsum. The cement, 10-20wt.% of which is replaced by the coal ash, water, a coarse aggregate such as natural crushed stone, a fine aggregate such as sea sand and an admixture such as an AE water reducing agent are mixed in a specified weight ratio to prepare the material for the rolled concrete pavement. The material is kneaded and applied, and a rolled concrete pavement is obtained with the surface property and flatness equivalent to those of the paving material of the cement free of coal ash and with the durability improved due to the improved miscibility of the aggregates.
