To use a cushioning material having higher durability as compared with wood, and to reduce a burden on a worker.
An overhead traveling crane moves materials 30 and the cushioning material 40 by using magnetic forces at places of columnar member groups 11, 12, 13, so that work wherein a worker superimposes the cushioning material 40 on the material 30 is not needed, and the burden on the worker can be reduced. By a recessed fitting portion of each columnar members of the columnar member groups 11, 12, 13, the position of the cushioning material 40 is stably kept, so that the worker is not required to conduct complicated work such as the adjustment of the position of the cushioning material 40 for securing stability by himself/herself. The structure of each columnar member is simple, and its installation is facilitated, so that installation cost can be suppressed. Since the metallic cushioning material 40 is used, the material can be reused. As compared with a conventional case of using wooden timber, the consumption amount of the cushioning materials can be greatly reduced.
