The material supply device 10 comprises a cylindrical body 16 having an inlet 16a and an outlet 16b, and a conveying screw 18 arranged inside the cylindrical body 16, and the conveying screw 18 has a bar-shaped rotary shaft 28 and a spiral screw 30. A portion (a feed part) 32 located below the inlet 16a of the screw 30 comprises a feed screw part 32a to feed the material of the predetermined amount and an auxiliary screw part 32b which is provided behind the feed screw part 32a and has the outside diameter smaller than that of the feed screw part 32a. Thus, excessive pressure is not imparted to the material stored in a vicinity of the inlet 16a, thereby generating no convection of the material.
