PURPOSE: To obtain the subject material making the environment for users (esp. the aged, the sick) more favorable and comfortable, by directly providing a metallizing layer on the surface of a fiber assembly such as felt.

CONSTITUTION: This material for textile products capable of bringing more favorable environments can be obtained by vacuum deposition 2 of a metal such as copper, gold, silver, aluminum, stainless steel or titanium on the surface of a fiber assembly 1 such as felt. By this method, the environment of health or hygiene for esp. the aged or the sick can be made comfortable owing to the characteristics of this material such as the air permeability and flexibility of the fiber assembly along with its bactericidal ability in the case of copper metallization or humectancy owing to its reflective effect for aluminum or stainless steel metallization.
