PURPOSE: To conduct the positioning of the tip accurately and easily, by making a constitution so that a material may be pinched and fixed by means of a material delivery vice and its tip may be decelerated to a slow delivery when it comes to a set point after passing a fixed point with a quick delivery and the tip may stop as soon as it comes into contact with a saw edge.
CONSTITUTION: When a material delivery vice 23 has come to the most advancing position, pinching and fixing are done so that the tip of a material M may come out beyond a saw edge surface K, and an outside signal E for quick delivery is given to a delivery speed controller 47, and the material delivery vice 23 is advanced at a quick delivery. When a photoelectric switch 39 inspects the tip, a preset counter 45 starts the calculation of the pulse of a rotary encoder 43. And when a calculated value has become a predetermined value opposing l2, the preset counter 45 outputs a deceleration signal, and deceleration into a slow delivery is started from a B point. When the tip of the material M comes into contact with a saw edge 9, the 2nd detector 41 inspects it, and the supply of pressure oil to an oil cylinder 51 is stopped, and stoppage is made at the place where the tip of the material M has been brought into contact with the saw edge 9. Accordingly, the positioning work of the tip can be conducted accurately and easily.
