To provide a material-transferring mechanism for a food-forming machine where a conventional driving sprocket is swept away to effectively use the whole of transferring pieces, and also a driving part and a food material part are mechanically separated from each other to prevent adhesion of food or the like to the driving part.

The material-transferring mechanism for a food-forming machine is provided with the following: a guide rail 5 having an almost elliptic or circular shape; a transfer link mechanism part 7 enabling circuit transfer around an almost elliptic or circular transfer route along the guide rail 5 and provided with a magnet 6; a feeding mechanism part 8 set to the transfer route so as to drive the transfer link mechanism part 7 on a fixed pitch; a shield clamping plate 9 placed on the transfer link mechanism part; and the transferring pieces 10 each provided with the magnet 6 so as to enable the circuit transfer along the transfer route while magnetically connected to each other via the magnet 6 of the transfer link mechanism part.
