To recover a pallet put in a lowermost position of a transported material immediately in the place.
The material 4 is loaded on a small pallet 1 of a two-step pallet 3 by making both end parts 4a of the material 4 stick out of fringe parts 1a on both sides of the small pallet 1. The material 4, the small pallet 1, and a large pallet 2 are mutually fixed by a binding device 5 and are loaded on a load-carrying platform 6a of a truck 6 for transportation. Fixation of the material 4, the small pallet 1, and the large pallet 2 is released, and the small pallet 1 is removed from the large pallet 2 together with the material 4 loaded on it. Both end parts 4a of the material 4 are put on a plurality of spreading materials 7 provided so as to correspond to both end sections of the material 4 sticking out of the fringe parts 1a of the small pallet 1 and ensure a drop space of the small pallet 1 between them to recover the small pallet 1 and the large pallet 2 dropped between the spreading materials 7.
