PURPOSE: To obtain the titled material by extracting the root, bark, leaf, etc. of nimba e.g. with hot water, drying the extract together with the residual solid, and if necessary, mixing with vitamins, etc.

CONSTITUTION: The root, bark, leaf, etc. of nimba (neem margosa, or Melia azadirachta Linn), which can be extracted by heating in water or with a solvent such as alcohol, is extracted with the above liquid, and the extract is dried together with the residual solid or impregnated in a water-insoluble absorbent and dried. Since the product is easily soluble in water or hot water, it can be used as a tea-pack type instant decoction by putting into a water-permeable bag. The extract liquid may be mixed with vitamins, calcium preparations, other oral drugs, foods such as starch syrup, etc., and if necessary, dried and solidified to obtain a composition utilizable as a drug or food. Mixing of the extract with raw materials of cosmetics gives a cosmetic composition.
