Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel organic polymer gel containing diaryl gem-dipyroalkane units, a method of producing the same, and novel technical means capable of capturing and/or detecting fluoride ion.SOLUTION: The method of producing a polymer gel containing a diaryl gem-dipyroalkane structure includes: a process of subjecting a co-monomer having a core of a diaryl gem-dipyroalkane structure, and polymerizable reaction groups at both ends thereof, a co-monomer, and a crosslinking agent to radical cross-linking copolymerization in the presence of a radical initiator in an organic solvent. The polymer gel specifically recognizes a fluoride ion, adsorbs and exhibits fluorescence characteristics.SELECTED DRAWING: None
