Abstract:
To provide materials and methods that effectively support innate immunity and/or disperse pathogenic biofilms using readily available, nontoxic, natural substances, while supporting restoration of normal microbiotic homeostasis.SOLUTION: An isolated anti-inflammatory or anti-microbial composition is isolated from a microbial biofilm or from a medium in which a biofilm has been grown. The composition has anti-inflammatory or anti-microbial properties that are not exhibited by a composition isolated from the microbe grown in a non-biofilm, planktonic state.SELECTED DRAWING: None
