Title:
MATRIX FOR CATALYTIC REACTOR FOR PURIFYING EXHAUST GAS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2694433
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a matrix having no fears of diameter change by housing materials used for soldering in small-sized recessed parts provided on the adjacent layers of a corrugated band in the radial direction.
SOLUTION: This matrix has top areas 8 being in contact with the adjacent layers of the corrugated band and extended substantially in parallel with respect to a winding axis or a folding line and is used for a catalytic reactor for purifying an exhaust gas from particularly an internal-combustion engine, small-sized recessed parts 9 where the materials playing major roles in soldering processing are housed are provided on the top areas 8 so that each of the recessed parts is disposed on a plane extended in the perpendicular or slanting direction with respect to the top area 8 and is extended in the radial direction. Thereby solder foil can be inserted in the recessed parts 9 and the diameter never changes eve at the winding process and the subsequent soldering process.
