Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011032210
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide an MMP (matrix metalloproteinase) inhibitor reduced in side effects, that has no hydroxamic acid active moiety and can selectively inhibit a zinc ion as an active center.
The MMP inhibitor includes, as an active ingredient, an azobenzene derivative having a structure represented by formula 1, 2, and 3 wherein R1 represents halogen, hydroxyl, methyl, methoxy or carboxyl, R2 to R4 each independently represents hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl or 1-8C alkyl or alkoxy (including those groups which are branched at any position).
