To provide an MCFC power generation system capable of thermoelectric variable driving, in which atmospheric release of CO2 is reduced significantly or CO2 is not released substantially, by minimizing the additional facility to a normal power generation facility and, at the same time, high power generation efficiency and heat recovery efficiency can be attained, the voltage and the output of a fuel cell can be adjusted in some range, and the ratio of heat and electricity can be changed significantly by adjusting the gas composition of a cathode.
An MCFC power generation system has a cathode gas circulation system, the cathode gas is circulated by means of a cathode gas recycle blower, so as to form a closed loop, the oxygen consumed by power generation reaction is replenished from an oxygen supply plant, and CO2 is replenished by recycling CO2. Combustible components in the anode exhaust gas are combusted and cooled thus removing water. Furthermore, fuel gas in the anode exhaust gas is recycled.
