To obtain a measuring apparatus by which the tension of a plurality of belt members can be measured with good efficiency by attaching a scale part to a base part comprising a plurality of through holes and inserting a tension gage into every through hole.

A scale part 7 is brought into contact with a pair of pulleys 2, 4. While a graduation 7a on the scale part 7 is being read, the position of a base part 6 is adjusted in such a way that every through hole 6a comes into contact with a belt member 3 situated in the center of the pair of pulleys 2, 4. While this state is being held, the pushing rod 5a of a tension gage 5 is pressed sequentially to the belt member 3 via a plurality of through holes 6a. Then, the tension of the belt member 3 can be measured with good efficiency. In addition, since the through holes 6a are formed in the base part 6 so as to be at right angles to a contact face 6b with the belt member 3, the pushing rod 5a which is inserted into every hole 6a comes into contact always at right angles to the surface of the belt member 3, and the tension of the belt member 3 can be measured precisely.
