A measuring device is provided with a CCD camera 42 for repeatedly picking up the image of an object to be measured which is placed on and conveyed by a conveyor 3 and for successively outputting image pick-up information for measurement and an image-processing means for evaluating the object by performing the image processing of the image pick-up information of the CCD camera 42. The imageprocessing means is configured so that it judges whether the conveyance downstream side edge part of the object has reached a specific position on the upstream side in the conveying direction within an image pick-up area according to the CCD camera 42 based on the image pick-up information of the CCD camera 42 and is configured so that it evaluates the object based on the image pick-up information of the object at that time after the object is conveyed toward the downstream side in the conveying direction by a set distance from a position when it is judged that the conveyance downstream side edge part of the object has reached a specific position.
