Abstract:
PURPOSE:To measure a luminosity factor of an optical apparatus and thereby to enable the determination of definition, by a method wherein a sensed light value of a light-sensing element which is separated light from a translucent mirror enters is compared with a sensed light value of a light-sensing element which senses a light from the translucent mirror transmitted through a test specimen. CONSTITUTION:A light flux from a point source 1 enters a collimator lens 2 and is turned to be parallel lights, and they pass a filter 4 and are separated in two directions by a translucent mirror 3. The light flux in the direction of straight advance enters a photodetector 6 via a stop 5, while the light flux in the direction of perpendicular intersection passes an objective lens 9 and an eyepiece 10 of a binocular 8 via a stop 7 and enters a photodetector 11. Then, outputs of the elements 6 and 11 are impressed on amplifiers 12 and 13 and outputs S0 and S1 of the amplifiers 12 and 13 are inputted to a divider 14. Hereupon the binocular 8 is removed, first, the amplifiers 12 and 13 are adjusted so that the output ratio S1/S0=1, and the binocular 8 is set subsequently. Then the output S1 of the amplifier 13 lessens, and the quotients S1/S0 represents a transmittance in the central wavelength of the filter 4. Therefore, this transmittance enables the measurement of the quality of the luminosity factor of the binocular 8 and thus the determination of definition.
