To provide a line head measuring device and method which can improve the measurement accuracy which satisfies the performance required for the end product which uses the line head for electrophotographies.
The light-emitting point of the line head W is measured using an optical filter 9 with a proper permeation characteristic so that the intensity distribution of a pickup image picked up with a CCD camera 4 may resemble the spectral sensitivity characteristic (intensity distribution of latent image) of a photosensitive material. Thereby, the characteristic amount of the light-emitting point of the line head W at the time of the line head being integrated into the end product such as a printer product for electrophotographies can be appropriately evaluated on measuring, and the measurement accuracy which satisfies the performance required for the end product can be improved. Furthermore, in a predetermined wavelength domain according to the luminescence spectral characteristic of the light-emitting point, the influence of the variation of the luminescence spectral characteristic for every light-emitting material is eliminated or reduced by making the intensity distribution of the latent image of the photosensitive material and the intensity distribution of the pickup image resembled mutually, and then the measurement precision can be improved.
