To provide a measuring device for travel time of a radio control car by which the pass of each radio control car can be assuredly detected and identified and its travel time can be precisely measured even when the radio control cars pass substantially at the same time.

A measuring device comprises a detecting unit 6 having a signal transmitting means for transmitting a plurality of signals provided substantially on all the areas widthwise a road surface 2, a detecting means provided on the body 5 of a radio control car to detect a plurality of signals transmitted from the signal transmitting means and a measuring means for measuring the travel time of the radio control car based on the detected signal of the detecting means and a control means for receiving the travel time measured by the detecting unit 6 by radio, displaying it on a display device 16 ad controlling the signal transmitting means. The signal transmitting means has a first induction coil and a second induction coil capable of transmitting induction signals having phases different by, for example, 180 degrees.
