PURPOSE: To manipulate remotely a titled device and to bring correctly an ultrasonic probe into contact with said device by providing a probe holder containing movably in a casing and forming a curved part of the circular arc shape section at the outer circumference surface and a wire rope manipulating the movement of the probe protruding or sinking in the casing as a holder attached thereto is moved.

CONSTITUTION: A tool is guided to the measuring place by a crane or man power while a guide plate 16 is brought into contact with a measuring material 15 after controlling an initial tension of the wire rope 10. If the guide to the measuring place is finished, a wire adjasting metallic fitting 12 is rotated by hand to slacken the rope 10. Thereby, the probe holder 3 is slid by the spring power of a compressing coil spring 4, and a protecting plate 14 is pushed at te measuring surface of the material 15. Even if there is an inclination between the material 15 and this device when the plate 14 is pushed the plate 14 is pushed by the counter force in case of the pushing, the moment is applied to the holder 3, the arc shape part 3a of the holder 3 is rotated at the inner surface of a housing 1 and the probe 2 can be brought into contact with the material 15 correctly.
