This device is equipped with a probe determination program 0150, a target 0104 including a microcomputer for executing the probe determination program and a storage device, the logic analyzer 0101 including the probe connected to the target and a display device, for outputting actual waveform data, a theoretical waveform data generation part 0151 for simulating the probe determination program and outputting the theoretical waveform data, a waveform data comparison part 0154 where the theoretical waveform data and the actual waveform data are inputted, and a signal name/probe correlation part 0155 to which the output of the waveform data comparison part is connected, for correlating the signal name of the microcomputer with the probe based on an output result acquired by comparing the actual waveform data with the theoretical waveform data by the waveform data comparison part.
