Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an instrument which can highly accurately measure the speed of a traveling object as continuously as possible.
CONSTITUTION: The title instrument is constituted so that the instrument can be provided with a reference pattern 16 which is extended in parallel with the moving line 14 of a traveling object 12 to be measured in the moving space of the object 12, pattern reader 18 which is mounted on a fixed location of the object 12 and, at the same time, continuously reads the pattern 16, and gyro stabilizer 20 provided between the reader 18 and object 12.
