Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce press-contacting force corresponding to the windup width of a micrometer by supporting the 2nd moving body with a spring on the 1st horizontal moving body with a spring in a vertically movable state, and providing a driving means for the spindle of the linear micrometer on the flank of the 2nd moving body at a specific position.

CONSTITUTION: The 1st moving body 61 mounted on a sliding rail member 62 on a small cradle 31 is made horizontally movable by the 1st air cylinder 65, and a tension spring 66 is arranged between the moving body 61 and member 62. The 2nd moving body 71 engaging a sliding rail member 72 of a fixed member 67 on the moving body 61 is made vertically movable by the 2nd air cylinder 75 and a tension spring 76 is arranged between the moving body 71 and member 72. Then, the linear electronic micrometer 20 and an air cylinder 25 are fixed to the moving body 71, and the spindle 23 of the meter 20 is lifted by the cylinder 25 to increase the gap between a frame 26 and an anvil 22. Consequently, the meter 20 is put closer to a can 10 to be measured while the springs 66 and 76 are reduced in elastic force.
