Title:
MEASURING METHOD OF BLOOD SERUMAL COMPONENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5771398
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the interference by bilirubin in a blood serum in the determination of hydrogen peroxide with an enzyme, by adding an EDTA-iron complex to the blood serum.

CONSTITUTION: Minor constituents, e.g. uric acid, creatinine or free fatty acids, in a blood serum are measured by the coloimetry of hydrogen peroxide generated by the reaction of the constituents with an oxidase therefor with a coloring hydrogen donor in the presence of a peroxidase. An EDTA-iron complex is added to the blood serum to avoid or reduce the interference of measurement by the competitive oxidation of bilirubin present in the blood serum with the coloring hydrogen donor.
