PURPOSE: To omit requirement for ashing a sample and to measure the amount of glue after the raw base paper sheets of currugated boards are stuck by directly measuring elements which are sufficiently mixed in the glue.
CONSTITUTION: A corrugated board sheet is horizontally cut at the central part of a core 1. An SF-side glue measuring sample 2 and a DF-side glue measuring sample 3 are prepared. Then, the samples are held with a sample holder 10 and mounted on a measuring part 9. X-rays are generated in an X-ray tube 7 and cast on the tracer in glue through a liner 4. A compound containing one or more kinds of elements among the element single bodies from zinc at No. 30 of the atomic number to uranium at No. 92 in the periodic table of the elements is added into the solid-state component of the glue so that 0.1 wt.% of the elements is added to the solid-state component. The glue wherein the elements are added in this way is used, and the base paper sheets of the corrugated boards are stuck. The X rays are applied to the stuck parts of the base paper sheets. The kinds and the quantities of the atoms contained in the quantity of the glue are analyzed with the excited fluorescence X rays, and the quantity of the glue is measured.
