Title:
MEASURING METHOD FOR SMOKE EMISSION AMOUNT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS568534
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an evaluation method suited for reduction of the emission amount of smoke, by forming the beltlike conductive heat generating conductor layer on the fixed surface of the test piece such as the insulating material of the electronic apparatus and the like and then securing the conduction to the conductive layer to then give the decomposition and smoke emission to the test piece the heat generation.

CONSTITUTION: Beltlike conductive heat generating conductor layer 1a is formed on the surface of the laminated sheet of a fixed size, and then lead wire 2 is provided across layer 1a to form test piece 1. Wire 2 is then connected to conducting electrode 5 provided to basement 4 so that it may protude into hemispherical glass container 3 of the smoke emission amount measuring device, and thus the conduction is given to layer 1a. The smoke produced by the above conduction is measured through the optical system including tungsten lamp 6 and receiver 7 of the solar battery which are opposite to each other across container 3. In such way, the proper current is supplied to ensure an extremely smooth measurement for the smoke emission amount produced from the test piece. Thus an evaluation method is obtained to reduce effectively the smoke emission amount for the parts of the electronic apparatus.
