Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable precise measurement of temperature by a method wherein each pair of lead wires of a plurality of thermocouples is connected to a detector independently and every fixed period, and thereby the interference between the thermocouples is eliminated.

CONSTITUTION: Two lead wires of respective thermocouples in plural are connected to the detector independently from each other during a period given to each thermocouple by dividing a time. For example, positive lead wires 1a, 2a, 3a and negative lead wires 1b, 2b, 3b of the thermocouples 1, 2, 3 are connected respectively to the terminals 1A, 2A, 3A and 1B, 2B, 3B of an input channel switching device 4. A prescribed time is divided in three by using a timer, and in the first period, the terminals 1A and 1B are connected to the detector, and so on, whereby exact measurement is made possible by the respective thermocouples even in the case when the thermocouples are short-circuited by a substance to be measured due to the melting of metal.
