Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a measurement system and a calculation unit that can accurately calculate the pump head of a centrifugal pump, without a sensor for measuring the hematocrit value of blood or a sensor for measuring the temperature of blood being added to a blood circuit. [Solution] A calculation unit for the pump head of a blood circuit that uses a centrifugal pump to circulate blood that has been removed from the body of a subject. The calculation unit has: a pressure detection part that detects the pressure downstream of the centrifugal pump; a flow rate detection part that detects the flow rate in the blood circuit; a rotational speed setting part that sets the rotational speed of the centrifugal pump; and a computation part that calculates the pump head from a prescribed calculation formula on the basis of detection results from the pressure detection part, detection results from the flow rate detection part, and setting results from the rotational speed setting part.
