PURPOSE: To prevent a short circuit between the measuring probe and a lead terminal adjacent to a lead terminal with which the probe is brought into contact to measure the electric signal and shorten the time for determining the position of the lead terminal.

CONSTITUTION: A terminal connection section 3 can be moved on a center rod 4 to the position of the lead terminal 1a of a surface mounted part 1 to be measured. When a contact piece 3b is located above the lead terminal 1a, the terminal connection section 3 is rotated centering on the center rod 4, and the contact piece 3b is brought into contact with the lead terminal 1a. The electric signal outputted from the lead terminal 1a is transferred to a probe pad 3a at the upper section of the terminal connection section 3, a measuring probe 5 is brought into contact with the probe pad 3a, and the output electric siganl of the lead terminal 1a is measured. The side face of the contact piece 3b is surrounded by an insulator provided on the terminal connection section 3, and the contact with an adjacent lead terminal 1a is prevented.
