Abstract:
PURPOSE:To economically and surely perform brake operation for a driving device output shaft without the necessity for using a complicated electric power circuit or control circuit, by utilizing reduction of torque in the driving device output shaft and applying a brake of press attaching a rotary friction disc to a fixed friction disc. CONSTITUTION:A motor 1 is driven, and an output shaft 2 is rotated, then a pin 8 on the output shaft 2 is pressed to he slope of an angular hollow 7a in a ring 7, resulting in the movement of the ring 7 toward front (rightward) by axial force. Consequently, a disc 6, mounted with the ring 7, and a rotary friction disc 11, fixed to the other end of and through a driving member 4 fixed with said disc 6, are also moved rightward against a spring 13, then said disc 11 is separeted from a fixed friction disc 3, thus a reduction gear input shaft joint 9 is integrally rotated with the output shaft 2. On the other hand, if a power source of the motor 1 is turned off, the ring 7 is moved leftward by the spring 13, and the rotary friction disc 11 is press contacted to the fixed friction disc 3, then the driving member 4 and the output shaft 2 are stopped while being applied with a brake.
