Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the safety of a device wherein a braking disc is forced to generate braking force by a spring, by disposing an one-way clutch between a rotary shaft and the brake disc.
CONSTITUTION: A handle 1 is turned to rotate a rotary shaft 2, and its rotating force is output to its load side via a gear 3. This brake disc 5 is constantly pressed by a brake shoe 6, a brake lining 7, and a braking spring 8. When the handle is stopped, a ball 5 is engaged with an inner ring 14 and an outer ring 17, and braking force is thereby actuated for stopping the shaft. A brake may thus be actuated by the spring instantly when its input is cut off, so that its safety is increased.
