Abstract:
To provide a mechanical clinch device of planar members which increases a fastening force between the planar members only by plastic deformation of the planar members, does not use other member such as a rivet by means of a simple constitution without necessitating complicated constitution and/or control while reducing defect of lowering of thickness, cracking or cutting etc., of the planar member on a concave part lateral surface.SOLUTION: In a mechanical clinch device of a planar member provided with a punch and a dice opposed to each other freely approachably/separably, a top surface of the dice is formed as a recessed surface and is constituted such that a distance between a tip surface of the punch and the top surface of the dice becomes small as to approach to the outer side in a radial direction from a center of the top surface. Preferably, the top surface of the dice is formed as a recessed spherical surface, the tip surface of the punch is formed as a protruded spherical surface and a radius r1 of curvature of the tip surface is set to be larger than a radius r2 of curvature of the top surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
