Abstract:
To provide a mechanical drum-brake device, for applying the brakes smoothly without seizing a sudden grip, and without causing input loss or drag of a brake-shoe.
In the drum-brake device 21, opposite ends of brake shoes 23, 24 opposite to each other are jointed with a shoe-connecting pin 29 so that an output of either one side of the brake shoes 23, 24 is impressed at the input of the other one of the shoes 23, 24. A resilient member 65 for controlling a displacement at braking time is provided in a slot on a backing plate for slide- fit the pin 29.
