Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical pencil which has broad design width, which enables easy delivery of lead by one hand and which prevents lead from being delivered mistakenly while carried around.SOLUTION: A mechanical pencil is configured in such a manner that: a barrel 4 has a front barrel member 2 and a rear barrel member 3; a lead delivery mechanism is provided having a chuck 8 in the front barrel member 2; a cam mechanism having a sliding body 26 and a rotating body 25 is provided inside the rear barrel member 3; a weight body 20 is loosely fitted to a rear part of the chuck 8; and at the rotating body 25, a cam slope part 25b sliding with the sliding body 26 and an engaging part are provided.
