Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical pencil that has achieved the reduction in the number of components, improvement of accuracy of a whole rotary drive mechanism, and improvement of operational reliability in the rotary drive mechanism for a writing lead that enables injection of grease as an adhesive medium.SOLUTION: A rotary drive mechanism 21 for rotatably driving a rotary cam 23 based on writing pressure that a writing lead receives includes resin-molded holder member 22 that supports the rotary cam rotatably and movably in an axial direction, and a resin-molded slide member 24 that is fitted slidably with respect to the holder member and has an effect of pushing out the rotary cam toward the front in the axial direction by receiving the energization force of a cushion spring 25. The holder member 22 and the slide member 24 are formed by two-color molding, and during the two-color molding, an injection hole 22g of an adhesive medium that has a dumper effect on a sliding operation of the slide member 24 is formed.
