To provide a mechanical scanning ultrasonic probe, facilitating wiring for transmitting and receiving of a transducer and oscillating ultrasonic waves different in frequency.
In this mechanical linear probe, any probe is composed of an ultrasonic transducer plate fixed in a closed casing filled with acoustic media and an ultrasonic shielding plate having a sound window having a sound lens. In the probe, the ultrasonic shielding plate is linearly moved opposite to the plate surface of the ultrasonic transducer plate in a designated range in a closed casing to scan an ultrasonic beam toward a designated region of a subject. A sound absorbing material such as rubber is abutted and fixed to the back of the ultrasonic transducer plate, and the sound lens is formed of silicon rubber or the like, and converts passed ultrasonic waves to beams. Further, in the probe, two or more circular-arc ultrasonic transducer plates oscillate different vibration frequencies, and the ultrasonic shielding plate is annular or circular-arc and rotated in a designated range opposite to the outer peripheral surface of the ultrasonic transducer plate in the closed casing to scan an ultrasonic beam toward a designated region of a subject.
