Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stationary/outside type mechanical seal which achieves good seal performance and is stably maintained.SOLUTION: A stationary/outside type mechanical seal 1 includes: an attachment member 11; a stationary side retainer ring 12; a stationary side sealing ring 13; a stopper ring 14; a rotary side sealing ring 15; a fitting member 16; and a biasing member 17. The mechanical seal further includes a stationary side seal ring 18 and a rotary side seal ring 19. The stationary side seal ring is provided between a fitting part 11a of the attachment member and a cylindrical part 12a of the stationary side retainer ring disposed at a radial inner side of the fitting part. The rotary side seal ring is provided between the rotary side sealing ring and the fitting member disposed at a radial inner side of the rotary side sealing ring. The stationary side seal ring and the rotary side seal ring has the same outermost diameter and are concentrically arranged so as to enclose a rotary shaft 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
