Abstract:
PURPOSE: To continuously and stably discharge partially-solidified metal under condition of dispersing fine non-dendritic primary crystals.
CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for continuously producing partially-solidified metal by executing cooling and stirring treatments while continuously supplying molten metal into gap between a cooling vessel having cylindrical or truncated conical shape in inner peripheral, wall and a stirrer having the same cylindrical or the truncated conical shape and rotating as parting from the inner peripheral wall of this vessel at the fixed gap in this cooling vessel, a part of outer peripheral wall of the stirrer is cut off along line of this ridge.
