Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for adjusting the leg height of a chair or a desk, excellent in safety and convenience, without using any bolts and nuts, which can be easily handled by anyone with just a little force, and a method for using it.
SOLUTION: To lock a locking member 3, a lock pin 6 is fitted into a concave lock stop part 8 on stopping hardware 7, with the engagement part of locking hardware 5 being engaged with a jagged member 2. To release the locking state and adjust the height, after a lower cover 30 is moved upward, the lock pin 6 is disengaged from the concave lock stop part 8, and then by slanting an upper cover 20 to move it upward, the locking hardware 5 is pulled toward the upper cover 20, while the lower cover 30 is moved downward to set the locking member 3 at a desired height in the lock release state in which the lock pin 6 is fitted into a concave lock release part.
